More About SAML Single Sign-On
SAML provides a way to log Texas State users into cloud services or tools by redirecting the user’s browser to a Texas State login page where a NetID and password are entered. After successful authentication, the user is re-directed back to the web tool where they are granted access.
As an added layer of protection, all SAML-based logins require Duo Multi-factor authentication to be completed by faculty, staff, student employees, and graduate assistants. SAML is part of several technologies that Texas State offers to protect the university’s restricted data and enable our users to access multiple resources with just one login.
