LEAP2 High Performance Computing

The LEAP2 HPC Cluster at Texas State University represents a major leap in computational power, offering 338 TFlops capacity with 5808 processors across 121 servers. It features 108 compute nodes with 256 GBs memory and 400 GBs SSD storage, two large memory nodes with 1.5TB, and 8 GPU nodes with Nvidia A100 GPUs. 

The system includes a 1.5 PB GPFS file system and HDR InfiniBand with 100Gb/sec bandwidth, supporting 21 departments and various users in research and education. It's pivotal for research in genomics, evolutionary biology, materials science, and computational fluid dynamics, and also enhances computational research training and academic courses.
